Information Literacy

I am learning to read and find the appropriate information I am searching for.

 This week My buddy and I made a DLO about the war. We used tellagami on a iPad. We had to find facts about the war before we record it. Then we record the facts about the war. me and my buddy we did a topic about men only at war. It took us so long to find facts about the war.
What I find tricky was that we had to find information.
I was proud that I complete my DLO.

Cultural Dance

On Wednesday we showed our family and friends our Cultural dance. The year 5 done a samosa sasa. The year 6 and 4 boys done the haka. The year 6 and 4 girls done the Rakau sticks. It was a lot of fun to do it in front of family and friends. So here is some photos of it. We worked so to do our dances.

  
   

My Maths Reflection DLO

This week we have made a DLO talking about our Reflection for Maths. It showed us what stage we are on and what is our next step. I am on stage 5 and my next step is to Solve problems using at least 2 different mental strategies. So here is my DLO Reflection I hope you like it.

Man on the moon facts

Last week and this week my reading group made a DLO about the moon and who the first man on the moon was. I made a DLO about who was the first man on the moon was. So here is my DLO about it. I worked so hard to get this information about the first man on the moon. I hope you like my DLO.

Fun at Spencer Park

W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.

Success Criteria

I know I will be successful when….

• I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.

• The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
• Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.
• A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.

Fun at  Spencer Park

On Friday the 10th of March Ako Ngatahi, Ruma Toru and Wahi Ako left school on blue buses to go to Spencer Park. we talk about what are we going to do on the weekend on the bus. When we got to the park then we had to sort out the the groups. Then group one went to the Lagoon Walk when we got there I saw birds. I heard the birds sing in the tree. I could smell the fresh air and I saw horses walking past me. I we had a snack while we wait until we can go up to the hurt to see better to look. Then we went back to the park so we can have some morning tea we eat our lunch at a picnic table. Then we had some time to play on the playground. Once the time was up we had to get our bags and line up. Then we walk to the beach to find beach stuff. When I got to the beach the smell change it smell like sea salt. When I put my feet in the water I could see my feet because in sea is clear crystal. The sky was bright blue and the sun was hot like a spa. When we got beach stuff we went and put them in our bags. I did not get any beach stuff because I didn’t want any. Then we had a sand castle competition. We can work with  two people or by yourself. I work with two people because it will be easy . Then we put our shoes on and we start going back to the park. Then we went and sit down on the grass to listen what are we doing next. We had a lot of time to play on the playground.Then we got called back to get our bags and sit on the grass and listen. Then we grab a fruit and eat it. When we are done our fruit we hop on the bus and go back to school to home.

  

My math's DLO

W.A.L.T: solve subtraction by adding 

This week I have been learning to solve subtraction by adding.  This was challenging  

and I learn a lot how to do a number line. So here is my DLO to tech you how to do it. I worked so hard to do it. 

The birds nets

W.A.L.T : Create an original sculpture using objects found on the beach.

This week we been making a sculpture with shells and stones and anything that we can find. I have made a bird nest under a tree and there is a bird it might look like a frog but it is a bird what I used is a piece of a tree, stones, wood, shell, flakes, little balls off a tree. Here is some photo I hope you like my  sculpture and I work so hard to get this finish.
